[Flashback] Tidal & Sprint Join Creatives For TIDAL X: USHER Exclusive Album Listening Session
Monday, September 12, 2016 Tidal X & Usher shared an intimate evening with fans and media spectators the night before to the release of Hard II Love. Big Boy from the Real 92.3 LA morning show, interviewed Usher on stage in between a ginormous projector screen and the audience seated inside the Ace Hotel, located downtown in Los Angeles.
Big Boy brought his comedic humor to the setting and Usher revealed himself in a way most was unaware of. The ATLien felt at home with Big Boy; in a sense. He expressed the process from the artwork of the cover, the sculpting which is featured on the album created by artist, Daniel Arsham, to his personal obstacles he had to overcome and/or live through during the writing stages of each track.
Throughout the interview, clips from the music videos “No Limit”, “Crash”, “Rivals”, and “Champions” (featured on the Hands of Stone film), played on the projector screen, as well as the Tidal music playlist for each track. Before Usher said his final farewell to the audience, he stuck around to take selfies for at least 15-20 minutes. The private listening session was extremely an up close and personal experience with Mr. Usher Raymond.
