New Music Exclusive “World Class” From Watts Native, Stix
Watts very own and recording artist, Stix is continuing to make it very clear that he is more than a “behind the scenes” type of fellow. Today he has released yet another single since touring with Snoop Dogg and family on the Puff Puff Pass Tour; titled “World Class”, and it is certainly the next banger to blast on your night out in the town with your people’s, or merely to get your motivation up.
Off top, the first verse sets the tone for how the vibe is going to go throughout the track. The beat was produced by Des HTH Souf & Wavy 84 (credits include: 2 Chainz, Jeremih, Kodak Black, and more…), the same producers of his recent release of “Sorry Peta”. High energy and a wavy flow of that feel-good vibe to make all your woes go away and boost that ego back to the top. Take a peep at some of the lyrics from the first verse below and dig the concept.
“Every day gotta wake up in the morning, gotta live.
Aint a lot of people make it out where I live.
So, I call Adib, tell em I’m tryna go on 10.
Supreme Team turn it, man tonight we goin in.
Tomorrow never promised so I gotta make the plays.
Gotta aim it straight before they put me in the cage…”
For the unprivileged man or woman, that hustles every day to make their days better than the last, this song is undeniably for you. By definition “World Class”, is an adjective that pertains to (a person, thing, or activity), of or among the best in the world. Ultimately, who doesn’t want to get away from their struggles and negative realities that may surround their every move and turn up like you just won a champion ship ring?!?!
Right away, Stix shouted out a few names that residents from the greater Los Angeles should positively be familiar with. Starting from the first verse he mentions some of the elite party and entertainment promoters for events in LA for example, Supreme Team (Adib, Shane, Gary), DJ BAD, Miss Diddy, Sincere, and popular liquor beverages Tanqueray (which sponsors Stix currently), Ciroq, Bullet Bourbon, and Zacapa. In addition to Stix setting the scene for us lyrically, that 808 sound weaved in between guarantees this joint to elevate your spirits no matter the atmosphere.
From the streets to the club, the more conscious you become of Stix as an artist, you will feel the effect he can leave on a beat for you to pick up and apply to your daily function(s). Check out the visual below for “World Class”; directed by Von Jackson, featuring cameos from a few of the individuals mentioned on the track, and comment what you think.
